Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN in July 2021 as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As the Space and Defence Correspondent for CNN, she's responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and the newly formed Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the growth and advent of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast, grew up immersed within the space industry. She spent five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. While covering the two impeachment proceedings against the president and the presidential campaign for 2020, and both administrations attempts to curb the coronavirus epidemic Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. Kristin travelled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She even went on a secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin, who is a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films with clients like Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband reside in Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
